Adult Ministries
Westview offers many small groups available for men and women. We want to invite you to be a part of ANY of these groups!
Coffee Break
Sessions are Tuesdays at 9:45 AM and 7:15 PM. These groups are for men and women interested in learning more about the Christian faith, those who are new to Christianity, and those who do not have a strong Bible background. Story Hour for the children is available during the morning session. Child care is provided at both times.
Dinner Circles
A large group of adults who meet in groups of 8 or 9 for dinner in individual's homes. Each person or couple brings a dish as assigned by the host. Groups change at each of 4 dinners. Sign up in the fall.
Red Hat Society-Garnet Jewels
This group is comprised of women over 50 (or 40+ who wear pink hats!) who enjoy fun, fellowship, and friendship through various activities. This group does community service projects as well as strictly fun get-togethers. Come and join us and bring your red (or pink) hat.
GAPS (Growing as Parents Spiritually)
This group has the goal of helping its members become better parents through fellowship and spiritual growth. Meets every other Sunday evening for dinner and discussion.
LAF (Learning and Fellowship) Saturday PM Couples with kids
Bring the kids along to this twice a month group which meets 6:30-8PM at member's homes.
Book Club
If you enjoy reading and discussing what you've read, join us one Thursday each month to discuss a new book. Currently reading: The Shack
Knitting and Crocheting
This group serves our community with the compassion and love of Christ by making hats, gloves, slippers, scarves and lap rugs and then donates the items through organizations such as hospitals, nursing homes, and the Santa Claus Girls. No experience necessary. Those new to the craft will be taught how to crochet and knit by other group members.
Voices of Praise Choir
We love to sing together to praise our Lord, and to fellowship with each other. Choir meets September-May and sings in both morning and evening services.
Sports
Westview teams include tennis, golf, basketball, volleyball, and softball.
Senior Fellowship
Men and women age 55+ meet for 5 or 6 different activities during the year to enrich the lives of seniors.
Wild about Wildflowers
Thursday afternoons, Mid-April through June. Come hike with this group of fun people and enjoy the lovely wildflowers! Call Ruth at 997-0200.
